Is there a higher number of one single card for sale out there?
http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-of-1-000-1986-Topps-NM-MINT-BRET-SABERHAGEN-Cards_W0QQitemZ310181797181QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Baseball?hash=item4838469d3d

Good Lord, that is a lot of Saberhagen!

Thats amazing. No wonder I had a hard time finishing that set...lol. No bidders with 20 minutes to go. I like collecting multiples of Thome cards, but not 1,000 of one card!

My biggest quantity was 400 1988 Police Bo Jackson cards and a little over 400 card each of a few commons from 1991 Wild Card football. That pales in comparison to a find in a collection I bought back in June.
NINE HUNDRED 1991 Upper Deck Steve Decker RCs. All are gem mint and the edges are white as can be. It would have been a great lot if Steve Decker didn't follow Bernard Gilkey and Todd Van Poppel into obscurity.
I also have some weird lots of random cards like 130+ 1988 Topps Darryl Strawberry and 120+ 1987 Topps Barry Larkin RCs. I seem to have a knack of finding old investor lots that have gone bust long ago.

Theres a local guy that collects Charlie Hough and has something like 3500 1982 Topps Cards of him. Its bizarre. He started picking them up whenever he saw one for a dime here and there.

6,000 Wow! That's a dedicated player collector. And I thought I had a lot of Jim Thome cards. The most of one card I have is a 93 or 94 Topps pre-production card of Eric Karros that came in one of those Shop at Home 3200 count boxes they used to sell on tv back in the 90's.

" A great buy for avid Saberhagen fans"

I can think of two of those... his mom and dad...

I DO NOT TRADE VIA TOPPS ANY LONGER.

My main reason is this.
Life is a jerk but always gets put before cards.

BTW it has nothing to do with anyone on this board

They're 4¢ each and you can easily sell them for 8¢ or 12¢...each??
How do you sell 1986 Topps commons for that much? There are no 1986 Topps set builders, there are no Saberhagen fans, and there are no Royals fans looking for Saberhagen.
Then again, the guy does have to do some puffing in the ad just like if he were selling a 1988 Dodge Aries.

When I used to do ETopps, I bought someone's pod and they had 100 Josh Phelps cards in it. It became a mission to see how many I could get. I didnt even like the guy, but at one point, I did have 1/3 of the production of them. He hit 8 HR in 4 days, his cards moved from 3.00 each to 7.00 each and I sold them all at once.

Go on YouTube and look up 1988 Dodge Aires. There's an awesome mock car ad that pokes fun at it. It truly is a treat to watch. Let me know what you think.

My wife and I tried to drive from Nashville to Minneapolis back in the 80's in a Dodge Aires? stationwagon. We only made it to Louisville, and the car broke down and we had to come back home. The Dodge Fart wasn't a very good car either.

Dodge/Chrysler still makes the same kind of awesome cars today. How did they ever survive 1983??
Although, the Reliant (K-Car)apparently wasn't toooo bad of a car.
