Didn't Pat Listach have a 1991 Bowman? I thought he did, but I've gone through about 3,500 1991 Bowman and couldn't find one. I didn't have a 1992 if he was in it, but I haven't checked my set or the checklist. I also had a hard time finding an extra 1993 Bowman listach, I have way more '93's and could only find one Listach. What gives? lol. I will be getting Brett Butler at the next Smokies homestand...already have my hounding binder filled.

1992 is his rookie year
He has a 1991 line drive AA card
I think he was rookie of the year wasnt he.

Hartenbower
Did you ask him to put HOF 05 on the ball
or did he just do it.

Hartenbower34 Posted - 04/15/2007 : 01:33:10
He manages the Chiefs so I figured I'd get him. I always go prepared.

I seen Samardzija at alot of Notre Dame football games he is a jerk.
The last 2 years me and my daughter went to 8 Games. My girl is
a big fan of his. Asked him to sign a photo she had the first 7 games. On the 8th game he signed the dang thing and was realy put out about it.

Wow that's surprising. That was a pretty crazy weekend for him, in his defense. His contract was just announced. When all the players were walking into the Grand Ballroom for the Opening Ceremonies, I'd say he signed about 5 or 6 and I was lucky enough to get one. I saw him again later in the night and he was signing for people as he left the hotel. I should have gotten him again.

I just read that about Harvey on the Beckett boards a few days ago.

I guess I've been lucky. I got Samardzija at the Cubs Convention and TTM. He signed the
sleeve though for the TTM. I resent
the card to Spring Training and haven't gotten it back.

I just realized Holliman singned his number once, lol...it's a variation card now!!!
MattinglyAlexander Posted - 04/13/2007 : 13:38:19
that's the only Veal card I have and can't find any good pictures to make any
I found 2 things out you may be interested in:
Ryan Harvey pulled a hammy and is recovering..will probably go
to FSL whn better to start the season.
...and Samardzija is supposedly NOT a good signer... keeps a bodyguard with him that tells everyone NO, he's not signing.

only got nine auto's tonight....
didn't have that many anyway....plus it was just too cold after the games finished. Veal looked pretty good until he walked the bases full then gave up a hit to the opposing pitcher...then walked the next batter looked pretty good afterwards though.

I've had some incredible luck with autographs at Marlins games. The best auto day that I ever had was on September 13 of last year. The Marlins were playing the Mets and I got El Duque, Tom Glavine, Hanley Ramirez, Miguel Cabrera and Reggie Abercrombie. There are so few fans that arrive early for the Marlins games that I have also had to opportunity to get a ton of batting practice balls. All of the autos that I have gotten in person at the stadium were signed on batting practice balls. The best batting practice balls are the ones that have the green letters that say "official training ball", you can't buy those in stores. Also, I drove up to Tampa to see the Tigers play the Devil Rays and got Verlander and Zumaya on a ball. The Zumaya was really nice because I asked him if he could inscribe "104 mph" under the ball and he did it for me.

well, may not be having any adventures tonight..raining like cats & dogs, chickens, fleas ...... but that will mean 2 games for the price of one tomorrow!

He signs one then I sign the rest!...
It depends on where I'm at, if it's a smokies game, I go to a lot of games, so that's how I get so many there. I got lucky at the UK game and met Sean Coughlin's dad and a family friend, so when the guys lined up to sign, they were telling the players about the cards I made. Plus...and I think this is the most important thing... I make it easy on them. I use a binder and put cards of the same player together. I use the ultra pro pages with the white write on strip and cut out windows in each pocket. If you'll notice in my i.p. collection, I don't have many dupes of away teams, they usually sign one or two and leave the rest. Sometimes, but not often, the home team signs only a few...that's why you go to as many games as possible.
